A Trip to Kiev
For a week or so I've been down in Kiev talking with our partners about what we are
doing currently and where we plan on going and what services we want to supply
to our customers. There are a lot of changes in the pipeline to allow us to
provide a still higher level of service to our clients. You'll see many of these
changes coming in over the coming months.
It's surprising just how much the old soviet union is now changing. Kiev, like Moscow and many of the other capitals, is a radically different city to what it once was in the soviet era, or even what it was just a few years ago. There are plush new shopping centres everywhere, that rival those found in London or New York. Almost everything you can find in the west, you can find in Kiev. However, the problems you see in the west with crime, you don't see here. You see young women wondering around the city unaccompanied, late at night and no one bothers them. There is no crime in the streets and a police presence that many in the west would love to see in our cities. In fact the place feels much safer and much nicer than London. As a western, I felt quite at home in Kiev. One of the many things we talked about was tours. A number of our large US counterparts run group tours where the bring typically ten to fifteen men from the US all at once. As it happened, there was one of these tours in Kiev, whilst I was there, and I got to meet some of the guys in the town. I had quite an interesting conversation with a few of them. The reason so many guys when together, was because they were unsure of what to expect and therefore were happier to travel with a bunch of fellow Americans, rather than by themselves. Once they arrived, they realise that, hey, they were not going to get kidnapped and no one was going to hurt them etc. Once they realised that there is nothing really bad with Kiev, they started to relax and explore the city. Most realised that coming to the former USSR was not really as difficult as they had imagined.
The low, long term, success is just one of the reasons we do so well. We have a lot of guys come to us after being on one of these dreadful events and give us nothing but praise after having a tour set-up for their own needs, by us. If you want to party and are not really interested in finding a wife, or would like a new wife every few years, then the 'socials' are for you. If you're looking for a someone to live with for the rest of your life, then you're not going to find her at a 'social'. When a client comes on a tour with us, we assign him a personal secretary. Your secretary organizes everything for you, all the one to one meetings, organizes translators if required, books dinner at a good restaurant or some other romantic setting that you might select for a meeting with the lady you're considering making your wife. Some 90% of the clients who come on our tours meet the lady they later marry. Yes, our tours are that successful! The girls often ask us if their Dave, Jon or Mike, who's been writing them for the past six months is ever going to come and see her, or is she wasting her time hoping he'll come? Getting you butt on a plane is what separates the men from the boys, those who have the vision to do something different and those who don't, those who want to control and shape their lives and those that those who leave it to chance. You have just August and September, and possibly October to meet your girl before the snow comes at the end of October. Even if you've only been writing to her for a few weeks, come October it could be three or four months you've been writing, and you don't really need to exchange that many letters before you know enough about her. And, hey, if it doesn't work out with her, you can always meet usually a dozen or so other ladies from that city who you're probably just as interested in, if miss right turns out not to be so right after all.
Agency writing lettersWe discovered something recently that really should be made public, concerning one of the large US agencies of all things. We'd love to name and shame this particular agency, but as anyone in the US will know, telling things the way they are, doesn't prevent someone suing you. This particular US based agency has an office in Odessa, and we know, for sure, that the agency is writing all the replies to men's letters and the ladies never even get to see the letters. This is outright fraud and I hope at least one of their clients report this and they are then prosecuted to the maximum extent to the law.A simple phone call to the lady by yourself of a third party should be enough to verify she's receiving the letters and it's actually the lady who is replying. If you're unhappy about another agency, we can always deliver letters, gifts or whatever for you to any lady. We can even arrange for you to meet ladies from other agencies, providing you can give us their phone number and they are in the same or a near by city. Be very sceptical of an agency who doesn't want to give out the ladies contact details, for why would then want to hide them from you? If you can not independently verify the ladies details, how do you know she really exists?
Growing our networkWe're looking for a number of people who have gone through the process of marrying a lady from the former USSR and are interested in running a web site. We're looking mainly for people from European countries where we don't already have an office, places like Switzerland, Holland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Germany, France etc. We're also interested in finding partners in some of the rich Arab states such as Saudi, Kuwait etc. Finally, we're also looking to open a number of offices in the centre of major cities, where clients can walk in and be shown the ladies catalogues and be allowed to use our services. You should have a good understanding of Russian, have experience of managing people and running a business. So what did they think
of the 'socials' they booked into? Well, not surprisingly, some guys liked the
idea of a lot of ladies competing for their attention, but others realised what
this really meant. Typically they would meet five ladies, all at once, all
trying to get his attention, sat around one table. Not surprisingly, the guys
focus on the pretty girls who speak English, whoever these might be, and without
regard for her motives. The agency typically invites everyone and refuses entry
to no one, meaning you get a lot of 'call girls' and a lot of girls who turn up
to every tour and even follow the tours from town to town simply interested in
having a good time. The nice girls simply don't get a chance. When we sign up
new girls, at least a quarter of the ladies ask if we do NOT run these socials
and would never sign up if we did. The ladies hate them, to the extend that the
group tour companies are now having to go to the provincial towns because they
can't recruit enough ladies in the big cities, because they already know how bad
these events truely are.
